Laurel United Methodist Church :: College Connections

College is an exciting time in a young adult’s life.  It can also be one of the toughest and most stress-filled times.  We at Laurel want to stay connected with our college students.

We regularly send mail, study treats, email, “knee-mail” and more to our students.  There’s no cost and all you have to do is register yourself or your college student by clicking here.

The Barnabas Team

His name was Joseph, but the apostles gave him the name “Barnabas” which means, son of encouragement. This was an appropriate name because he was an encouragement to all who knew him.

Want to help us with our College Connections program?  We are looking for adults to serve as a secret partner and anonymously send letters or e-mails to provide encouragement to our Laurel college students.

All that’s required is about one hour a month of your time, plus the cost of postage and any miscellaneous things that you might send to your student for nine months of the year.

We all need to be encouragers of others, so take this opportunity and be a “Barnabas”!
